Silicone-coated glass fibre

The advantages of membrane constructions made of silicone-coated glass fibre are similar to PVC-coated polyester fabrics with a PVDF-paint. As a result of the coating they also have a dirt-repellent effect. The average lifetime is up to 30 years and they have a very good UV resistance. The fire classification of this material is B1 / DIN 4102 and allows a wide range of applications both indoors and outdoors. Due to the glass fibre carrier tissue there is a higher translucency of 12-18%. The fabric is not that resistant against folding marks but with the right handling this is no problem. Membrane constructions made of silicone-coated glass fibre are mostly permanent.
